Patience, the key to contentment

Continuing from previous audio, in life when we experience losses, undergo pain or when we face failure one after another, it's natural, we become helpless. Generally, these are the times, that makes us search our house & store rooms for our horoscope and take that for detailed analysis from a priest. We ask, please have a look and let me know what's written or what's there in my future as I'm facing tough times. On the other hand, we do go a step further and manipulate horoscope because our work had to be fulfilled at that auspicious time.

Here, DVG gives us an instance, King Dasharath was knowing that Lord Sri Ramachandra has to face some part of his life in forest, though he knew this was going to happen, could he change that? No. In the same way if we ask priest to change or do some alterations in horoscope, at the most only the positons of stars will change. Here DVG asks, can priest change our destiny? Nope. What's going to happen will happen. And we should face these times, no other go. That's the reason DVG says, in these times we ought to keep our mind and conscious at peace and be patient.

With this simple note, leaving this piece, hoping it will help practise patience.. :-)

Things related to Mind...

Continuing from previous post, in this audio, Swamiji explains things related to Mind..
He goes on explaining how we should understand our mind. Cater to its needs, until and unless we dont listen to it, it will become our Enemy. It's in our hands to make our Mind either friend or enemy..

In the next stanza, he explains, usually, it's a general thing, everyone says that a mind destroys itself through 3 things viz, Woman, Wealth & Property.

But, DVG says our pain and sorrow are not only related Woman, Wealth & Property, there is one more thing, and that is Name, Awards, My Photo..We start seeing News papers, Magazines whether My Name is published in Newspaper or not, and on top of that we do call our friends and ask them to read. For publicity of Me, Myself, we start spending money and if we dont get that expected recognition then how we harm ourselves, our mind. Our fall is not only by these 3 but also the way we nurture our selfish ego and also through various different ways.

In this way, DVG gives lots and lots and simple instances of how to bring our Mind at peace which in turn helps us to keep ourselves at peace and spread happiness & harmony around us...

Come, lets purify our Mind by listening to this wonderful piece..

Swami Bhrahmanandaji of Chinmaya mission have interpreted DVG's khagga in his words. Since the Khagga is written in Classical Kannada, it's difficult to understand the inner meaning and what he is conveying to the world. Swamiji has made it simple through his explanation of 4 line stanza.

Through this Khagga, DVG is trying to explain us, that how we should catch hold of ourselves in this struggle of life, that one should not be disheartened since we see a lot of pain & sorrow around us . Because, he himself has undergone and seen the various shades of pain, the life has put in front of him. That's the reason in this Khagga we see essence of life. While experiencing the different colours of pain, the things which has given him peace, he has conveyed in this 4 - line stanza, which stands so profound. So, come let's rejuvenate our life with Mankutimmana Khagga.. Here I share the link of one such beautiful snippet..

The party's over, the reality check - India and Mr.Obama

As America gets a new leader, the stage is all set for meeting the many unanswered questions, challenges, and doubts head on. India too is looking nervously at the United States. :-(

Due to the US Economic meltdown, how big can be the impact on business outsourcing? Wonder where does India stand and what would be the priorities India hold for the new President? The road ahead for the Indo-US economic relationship, the nuclear deal and its benefits and most importantly, the recession worries.

Saw a show on TV, Nobel Laureate Amartya Sen, speaking about Obama, who has been one of the strongest supporters, said that some policies advocated by newly elected President are far too protectionist. He said, specifically two of his policies needs reviewed viz, Outsourcing and Pakistan.

He said that Obama needs to maintain a balance in his policies regarding trade, jobs being exported etc. That's not been good general policy. And ofcourse there should be some toughness regarding militancy in Pakistan and we know civil society groups are much secular in Pakistan who would rather be on his side than turn against him.

So, guys let's wait and watch as party's over what will happen in favour of India.

Cheerzzz,
Amitha.

Congratulations Team India...

India have recorded a historic series win over the world champions as they beat Australia in the Nagpur Test to clinch the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. :-)
They won Test series 2-0 against Australia after 28 years..

This is a commendable effort by our Indian Team.

Hip Hip Hurray.. :-)

Will surely be missing all action from JUMBO & DADA. :-(

Wishing all success to both of them in their future ventures. :-)

Cheerzzzz...
Amitha

Today or Tomorrow...

Which day can be better than today or any other day to express my views or experiences that life brings to me . So, just started to jot as my thought process unfolds itself. Today, it's not much of happening Saturday .. :-(

Did not feel like going outside or roam beautiful Garden City..Namma Bengaluru..:-)
Just cooked (nothing special usual Rice & Rasam), cleaned our Nest and watched TV for sometime. With lazy Dins around who will be always pulling my leg or vice-versa, the day just flew off.. :-)
